As promised in a post last week, I am doing a two part series of my favorite body butters and body scrubs. You can view my review of Soap and Glory's 'Pulp Friction' right here , but for now, I am going to give the 'down low' of The Body Shop's 'Chocolate' set.
I was given this at Christmas, so I have had near enough the same amount of usage as the Soap and Glory combination. I really REALLY enjoy using this as the scent is soo rich, but not overly sweet. I really do hate things that are too floral or sickening; I much prefer musky scents. Although my perfume is not exactly the same, this combination layers wonderfully with my Lady Million.
The body butter, in comparison the Soap and Glory, is much thicker. It is evident from a small amount that this is very moisturising and thick. As it is soo heavy, I normally apply this a good hour before I go out because it gives it chance to sink in. However, it blends effortlessly and does not require a lot of patience to ensure that it is all rubbed in. It is not overly sticky and does blend very nicely, but I must reiterate how thick it is. I have had this for about 6 months and I have used about a third of the tub. I like how little you need because it makes the entire product last soo much longer.
So, I love- and recommend- the body scrub if you are like me and want a really heavy exfoliant. Although it looks horrible and not very glamorous, it is great at removing all dead skin and making you feel refreshed. The scent stays on all day long even though it has been washed off! Although the beads of the scrub are large and in charge, the scrub its self is not overly abrasive and seemingly harmful to your skin. This is my favorite body scub and I use this religiously every weekend, or when I need a pamper!
